Port Saint John first Canadian port to obtain Occupational Health and Safety ISO Certification
Saint John, N.B. – Port Saint John recently attained ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 Certifications. ISO (International Organization of Standardization) is one of the most rigorous and well-regarded standards in the world. Port Saint John was audited by BSI, and officially presented with certificates for both Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems on November 21st. These certifications validate that Port Saint John has been vetted against global benchmarks of industry excellence. As the first Port in Canada to achieve the Occupational Health and Safety Management System ISO certification, the port’s commitment to safety and environment goes beyond industry expectations.

To ensure that the health, safety and environment management systems at Port Saint John continue to meet or exceed standards, they will be evaluated by an external auditor on an annual basis.
