Marine Gas Oil

Irving Oil’s Ultra-low Sulphur MGO is seasonally adjusted for temperature conditions and meets or exceeds the following specifications: MARPOL, Canadian Naval specs for Naval Distillate Fuels, CGSB 3.11 Type 11 & Type 15.

Marine DEF

Our Marine DEF meets and exceeds industry specifications and standards, effectively increasing fuel efficiency and changing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions into harmless water and gas.

Produced at Irving Oil’s facility in Saint John, NB, one of North America’s largest end-to-end blending and packaging units, our Marine DEF is ready to be distributed when and where you need it.

RAIL CONNECTIONS

Saint John is the only Atlantic Canadian port with rail optionality, connecting to three Class I railways — CN, CPKC and CSX . For rates within North America, rail providers may be contacted. For intermodal shipments, the container shipping line coordinates directly with the rail providers for an all-inclusive rate.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP COMMITTEE

In 2021, the provincial government partnered with employers, labour representatives and others to maximize employment and economic development opportunities expected to result from the Port Saint John Modernization Project.

The primary objectives of the workforce partnership committee are to:

  • develop and implement a recruitment and training strategy that supports and aligns with the needs of all potential employers associated with the Port of Saint John

  • and to develop and refine a workforce partnership model that targets and accelerates strategic workforce recruitment.
