Port Saint John Set to Finish Year With Strong Results in Containers and Dry Bulk

The port also reported a significant 12% increase year-to-date in the dry bulk cargo sector which includes potash, salt, recycled metals and petroleum coke. Numbers in this sector rose from 1,130,950 metric tonnes from January to November in 2013 to 1,269,027 metric tonnes over the same period in 2014.Port Saint John is Eastern Canada’s largest port by tonnage and has a diverse cargo base, including dry and liquid bulk, break bulk, containers, and cruise.
