Port Saint John Chair and Vice Chair Re-elected by Board
SAINT JOHN (NB) – At a recent meeting of the Board of Directors of Port Saint John, Peter Gaulton and Philip Brewer were reelected as Chair and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors both for two-year terms.Gaulton and Brewer were originally elected to these positions by their peers in April of 2013.Mr. Peter Gaulton, has been a director of Port Saint John since 2008, and has also held the positions of Vice Chair of the Board of Directors (2011-2012) and Chair of the audit committee (2008-2011). Peter has been a Saint John-based chartered accountant for the past 36 years and has also owned his own firm for the past 25 years. Additionally, Peter has been an avid community volunteer for over 3 decades.Vice Chair Philip Brewer, has been a director of Port Saint John since 2011, and the owner and president of Cox Electronics & Communications for over 30 years. Mr. Brewer has a strong background in business leadership and financial management. Philip has also served on many corporate and community boards and is the current committee chair for Port Saint John’s human resources committee and has also chaired the audit committees during his time on the Board.Port Saint John is Eastern Canada’s largest port by tonnage and has a diverse cargo base, including dry and liquid bulk, break bulk, containers, and cruise.
