Election of Vice Chair of Board of Directors
SAINT JOHN (NB) – Port Saint John is pleased to announce that Allen Bodechon was elected by his peers as Vice Chair of the Board for a two-year term during a recent meeting of the Board.Allen Bodechon has over 36 years of law enforcement experience at all levels of government and is the recipient of numerous professional awards and recognitions including the Order of Merit for the Police Forces—Officer Level (2008). In addition to his professional career, Allen has a wealth of governance experience in public and non-government organization boards and a dedication to community volunteerism.“The election of Allen by his peers is an endorsement of the skills he honed during his career in law enforcement as well as a recognition of his experience with communities, Boards and other volunteer activities,” said Philip Brewer, Chair of the Board for Port Saint John.The Chair and Vice Chair are elected by their peers for positions of 2 years in length. Philip Brewer was elected Chair of the Board for a two-year term at the December 2016 meeting of the Board.Port Saint John is Canada’s third largest port by tonnage, Canada’s fourth busiest cruise port, and has a diverse cargo base, including dry and liquid bulk, break bulk, and containers.
